Victor Westerholm

Herm of Victor Axel Westerholm (1860–1919), who was the first intendant of Turku Art Museum. By Wäinö Aaltonen (1894–1966), carved 1924–26, unveiled on 4 January 1927. Made of red granite, height 4,1 m. A herm carved from a single monolith, total height 411 cm, height of the head 75 cm. Victor Westerholm was also the manager of the Turku Art Association's School of Drawing (Turun Taideyhdistyksen Piirustuskoulu). Wäinö Aaltonen studied painting with Victor Westerholm in 1910–1915.
