Winter War
I took these pictures in a small exhibition in the studio building of the Finnish Broadcasting Company. The soldier shows what was the life in the woods in Karelia during the Winter War Finland was waging against the Soviet Union from 30 November 1939 until 13 March 1940 when the interim peace was made.

Minnesota 2005
I took these pictures on my third trip to Minnesota in 2005. These photos were taken with HP PhotoSmart C812 digital pocket camera. Unfortunately I broke the camera on the second day of the two week's holiday. I only have these photos from my trip. Some pictures were taken with my cousin's camera I lent for memories.
France 2004
Our summer trip to EuroDisneyland and Paris, France in 2004. I took these picture with old HP PhotoSmart 812, which had low resolution compared to today's modern digital cameras. Our week in France was quite cloudy as you can see from the photos. One day was extremely bad with all rain showers every now and then. Sometimes we got sun and one day was very good.
Gran Canaria 2004
Winter holiday photos from Gran Canaria. All photos were taken with a small HP PhotoSmart 812 pocket digital camera. The quality is relatively low and shots are very amateurish.
Denmark 2003
I have collected here some photos I took on our summer trip to Denmark and Legoland. All photos were taken with HP PhotoSmart 812 digital pocket camera, which unfortunately got broken.
Finland 1989
I made a tour in Finland in 1989 and took these photos with my Yashica AF-M-II compact camera. This camera has been my very good companion with my trips. Years later I finally scanned the pictures to display here. These photos were scanned with resolution of 300 pixels per inch, so they are not of the best quality available.
Minnesota 1988
These pictures are from my second trip to Minnesota and other places in the United States in 1988. I made this trip only a year after my first visit to the state of ten thousand lakes. This time I took only few photos with my Yashica AF-M-II compact camera. Some of these pictures I later scanned with Nikon film scanner and HP flatbed scanner. Pictures may be of poor quality when compared to today's digital photos. You may notice some noise and scratch in the pictures, as the films and paper copies were stored in a shoebox for around twenty years.
This set contains photos from my round trip in the US. In addition to my visit to Minnesota I also visited Oklahoma and Canada. In Oklahoma I stayed couple nights in Broken Arrow near Tulsa and also dropped in Oklahoma City. After having arrived in Minnesota we went to Thunder Bay in Canada on our way to Duluth in north Minnesota.
Minnesota 1987
I took these photos on my very first trip to Minnesota, USA. My visit to the state of ten thousand lakes started on June 22, 1987. The quality of the pictures is not the best as the pictures were taken with an old Yashica AF-M-II compact camera. At that time no digital photography was publicly available and I have later scanned the films with Nikon film scanner to display here. You may see some noise and scratch in the pictures, as the films were stored in a shoebox for some twenty years.
